THE FCANCER PROJECT IS AN ONLINE COMMUNITY ALLOWING YOUNG PEOPLE TO DONATE A FEW HOURS A YEAR OF THEIR SKILL OR TALENT TO CANCER CHARITIES REGISTERED IN THE NETWORK.

COLLABORATE.

A group of us, all good friends have a parent affected by cancer. Together we decided to take action. Our weapons of choice: youth, energy and creativity. The Fcancer Project is a collaborative movement for the young to join in the fight against cancer. Our mission is to build an online community and people who are ready and able to donate their time and specific skills to cancer initiatives. We may not have money, but we have energy and abilities: we can design, sing, build, count, draw, travel and tweet and many other tools to bring to the Fight.

COMMUNITY.

Through a dedicated social network, the Fcancer Project is a skills-based platform for volunteers to pledge their time to selected cancer initiatives. The website enables charities to create profile pages explaining who they are and the work/volunteers they require; from artists to musicians, lawyers, accountants and architects. Once a volunteer has donated his/her time, completed hours will be recorded in their Goodwill Bank for all to see.

FUNDING.

The Fcancer team personally donated £150,000 to kick-start the project. For our annual funding requirements, in keeping with our vision we will use the skills, time and resources of our community members to organise an annual fundraising event: The Fantasy Ball. Every year, amounts we raise in excess of our budget will be donated to the most innovative cancer initiative or charity on our platform.

MEDICAL BOARD.

As we are not cancer experts, we have enlisted the help of world-renowned doctors to form a medical board. Alongside the Trustees, they will advise us on the award of our annual grant.
